Why have a family website?

• To share with you information I have gathered over the years about our families
• To provide a place for you to contribute any additional information you may have about our ancestors as well as your own families and descendants.
• To provide a resource for you to learn more about genealogy, DNA testing, and American history as it relates to our ancestors.
• To provide a way for us to keep in touch with each other  to share news (births, marriages, deaths, accomplishments, moves, career and life changes; whatever you think might interest some or all of us.  It seems that with our parents passing on, there are few opportunities for us to communicate with each other.

Information on the branches of our family tree are broken down by the four grandparents of my generation.  They are --

Hamilton, George Albert
Summerville, Mabel Elizabeth
Hill, Charles Sumner
Vanderpool, Beatrice Susan

Often family histories are limited to one family line.  I chose instead to combine the families because of intermarriage and because the families are known to each other.  I am counting on you to let me know of ways I can improve the site and to keep me informed of any updates and changes you would like to include.  Throughout this site, all of the wording in gold will navigate you to another site providing additional reading material or videos.
