I'm back!

What's New

  • On Grandma, Beatrice Vanderpool's side, as a result of a DNA match with a distant cousin, her ancestor chart has been expanded several more generations.  The chart only shows the names, but if you go to the Ancestry.com site, look up Robert "King" Carter.  It was his grandson, Robert Carter, III, who freed his 450 slaves beginning around 1791and who is the half brother of Baptist Billy, our 6th great-grandfather.
  • The grandparents' ancestor charts have been expanded to include their siblings (our great aunts and uncles).
  • This is a public website, visible to anyone on the internet.  For that reason, I have decided to omit all birthdates on the descendants' charts (genealogical charts are a source for obtaining information to create false identities).  Our family tree on Ancestry.com is accessible by invitation only, so all birthdates, photos and documents are visible.
  • You can take advantage of the search feature, at the top and bottom of each page to look up specific information or people.  However, the names that appear only in charts will not appear in the search results because they are image files.  At the Ancestry.com site, you can search the tree for any of the 1,000+ names.
  • I added a feature called "In the Spotlight," which you will see below, to keep you informed of recent accomplishments and special events of our relatives.  Everyone loves hearing this kind of news, so keep it coming.
  • I expect to add to and update the site on a regular basis but old pages can be found in the Archives section.
  • On my Facebook page, under Groups in the left hand column, I set up a group called Hamilton and Hill.  It's for your use in sharing information for and about family members.

In the Spotlight

Eleven year old Sydney Soleil Stovall (daughter of Tony and Nicole) made her professional acting debut recently at the Bickford Theatre in Morristown, NJ.  This is what one reviewer had to say at the performances in Wait Until Dark:
Picture
"All the performances are excellent; Lauren Klemp is very convincing as the blind Susan who slowly transforms from the young innocent to full knowledge of the danger she faces. Michael Irvin Pollard is a chilling villain with no hesitation in using his knife; Duncan M. Rogers (our recent NJ Footlights Best Actor award winner) nicely projects a degree of sympathy for Susan's plight; Jeff Maschi couldn't be more perfect as Carlino; Bob MacKay is fine in the minor role of Susan's husband, properly attentive and sensitive to his wife's sight condition; lastly is young Sydney Soleil Stovall making a very impressive New Jersey stage debut as Susan's teen-age neighbor."
